Church Life

At VFC we consider relationships important. The first and most important is that relationship we have with God who, through Jesus Christ has forgiven us our sin, has restored us to new life, and who promises us a place with Him in eternity. Through this same Jesus we, the bible says, are 'friends with God'. Amazing. 

Our families: God designed family life right from the outset. Consequently we place enormous value on marriage and parenting, and the living out of our faith within this context - husbands loving wives (and vice versa!), children respecting and honouring parents, and parents encouraging, supporting and guiding their children.

To assist in these areas we run a Marriage Course once every couple of years, and are planning to the same with a Parenting Course.

In addition to our Sunday worship sevice we meet in small groups during the week. Generally we'll have a time of worship, prayer and bible reading or teaching; the leading of these activities is often shared out amongst the groups' members.

We also have a framework for our children and youth work. On Sundays there is a creche for the tiny ones and a childrens' group that meets during the second half of the worship service.

For those who are bigger and uglier (!) the Youth Group meets on alternating Sunday evenings for worship and practical bible study. It's an easy relaxed and informal event (the emphasis is on fun) and friends who want to come along are made to feel really welcome.
