Who we are

Hi and welcome to VFC, part of the Newfrontiers family of churches. (More on Newfrontiers can be found on www.newfrontiers.xtn.org)

 We are a group of Christians drawn together by a common faith in Jesus Christ. We believe He is the Son of God who came to earth; lived as a man; was crucified as part of God's plan for our salvation; descended into Hell, and rose again on the third day.

We believe that the motivation for this act, as it says in the bible, was God's love (John 3 v 16). And this, not just for those who are 'nice' (!), but for every single person.

We believe Jesus rules and reigns with God in heaven, and through His Holy Spirit He moves and works in the lives of believers today.

We believe that because of Jesus' sacrifice our sins, faults and failures are forgiven; that when we put our trust in Him we are given a new beginning; and at the end of our lives, we will join Him in heaven when we die.

We believe in the bible as God's living and present day word for us.

So that's us! You'll find us every Sunday at 9.45am in Verwood's community centre (The Hub - in case you missed it) where we meet in the Merryfield Theatre.

We'll usually begin with a time of praise and worship led by our worship band. This is then followed by practical and clear preaching based on the bible. Every four weeks or so we celebrate Communion.

Young children are very welcome, and well catered for: they have their own fun filled activities elsewhere in the building during the preaching.
